About Us
The Underground railroad Re-enactments are run by the Kamau Kambui Circle For Cultural Learning (KKCCL). This is the oldest program of it s kind in the country. The KKCCL is a 501c(3) nonprofit. The KKCCL’s mission is be a catalyst for change. We have been in existence since 1999. We use experiential education to teach about history and reverse racism. The Cultural Experiential Simulations offer a unique education experiences both in the classroom and out in the natural environment. The Underground Railroad re-enactment remains the principle program. All of our programs uses experiential education to teach about history and culture in a more personal way and to encourage participants to explore the many facets of freedom. We have continued the tradition of facilitating Underground Railroad experiences since then for a wide variety of organizations from small nonprofits and church groups all the way to metro area school districts and universities. The Underground Railroad is also part of the Minnesota annual Juneteenth celebration. |
